AYO Chamber Music Camp is an unique opportunity for a select group of the finest aspiring young chamber musicians to hone their skills and access new performance opportunities under the guidance of some of the finest national and international chamber musicians, in an exclusive and creative environment.  Your string quartet or piano trio will attend intensive tutorials, rehearsals and masterclasses, and also have the opportunity to perform in both in-house and public concerts.

 

FREE CONCERT SERIES


In 2010, AYO Chamber Music Camp will present a series of concerts in Newcastle. The concerts will feature works by Borodin, Glass, Haydn, Mendeslssohn, Mozart, Shostakovich and more.

The musicians will be under the tuition of:

Carducci Quartet
Doric String Quartet
Freshwater Trio with guest pianist Benjamin Martin

Cost:
$800.  AYO will arrange and cover all travel, instrument freight, meals and accommodation costs associated with this program.

Eligibility:
18 – 28 years inclusive, as at 1 January 2010.
Minimum standard AMEB AMusA or equivalent.
Open to individual violin, viola, cello, piano players, as well as established string quartets and piano trios.
